Lisa Zelem began her yoga practice as a way to get in shape for her 2006 wedding. Over the years, her practice eased chronic pain and headaches caused by arthritis, helped her breathe through the natural births of her two daughters and recover from the physical changes related to pregnancy and delivery. Lisa practiced many styles and a few years into a near daily practice, quit her cake decorating job to become a full-time Vinyasa teacher. After discovering Bikram Yoga in 2012, she focused fully on this healing series. Lisa connected deeply with the consistency of the dialogue and postures as a “measuring stick” to judge her own progress and healing. She graduated the Bikram Yoga College of India in Los Angeles, California in 2014. Lisa wants all of her students to feel awesome inside and out, bones to the skin, after her class.
