Asfaw is originally from Ethiopia where he grew up playing tennis on the Junior National and Davis Cup Team. He then played for the Senior National and Davis Cup Teams while he was the Head Tennis Professional at the Addis Ababa Tennis Club for 13 years. Asfaw has been in Colorado for eight years, working at Crestmoor Community Association and most recently, Colorado Athletic Club Inverness. Asfaw has two children with his wife Elita and enjoys teaching all levels from new players to high-performance junior and 5.0+ adults.
