Sprint Triathlon 14-Week Clinic

Start your triathlon training with Club Greenwood’s Zero to Tri Hero introduction clinic. Gain accountability with Coach Abbie, USA Triathlon Certified Coach, and like-minded athletes! Beginners and seasoned athletes are welcome! The 14-week program includes eight clinics, six optional group workouts and daily training plans to develop skills in strength, swimming, cycling and running.

Everything you need to know to complete a Sprint Triathlon

Includes 8 Clinics, 6 Optional Group Workouts and Daily Training Plan to develop skills. Improve your strength, swimming, cycling and running to train and race in a safe and meaningful way. Come ready to have fun and train!

Complimentary Intro Clinic

First Complimentary Session

  • 1 hour Clinic/½ hour workout (optional)
  • Information meeting on what to expect and what the program is all about.

Week 1

Swim Clinic

  • ½ hour Clinic/1 hour workout
  • Location: Club Greenwood, Location TBA and Pool
  • What to bring: swimsuit, goggles, water bottle, cap (optional)

Week 2

Optional Coached Swim

  • 1 hour
  • Location: Club Greenwood Pool
  • What to bring: swimsuit, goggles, water bottle, cap (optional)

Week 3

Nutrition and Recovery Clinic

  • 1 hour Clinic/½ hour hands-on
  • Location: Club Greenwood Conference Room
  • What to bring: favorite healthy snack (and recipe if homemade) and favorite sports drink. Bring enough to sample and share with clinic participants

Week 4

Optional Coached Swim

  • 1 hour
  • Location: Club Greenwood Pool
  • What to bring: swimsuit, goggles, water bottle, cap (optional)

Week 5

Bike Clinic

  • 45-minute Clinic/45-minute workout
  • Location: Club Greenwood, Location TBA
  • What to bring: workout clothes, shoes (bike shoes optional), bike, helmet, water bottle
  • Guest Speak TBA

Week 6

Optional Group Bike

  • 1 hour
  • Location: TBA

Week 7

Run Clinic

  • ½ hour Clinic/1 hour workout

Brick Clinic Swim/Bike

  • ½ hour Clinic/1 hour workout

Optional Group Brick Bike/Run

Open Water Swim Clinic

  • ½ hour Clinic/1 hour workout
  • Location: Aurora Reservoir
  • $10 Park Entrance Fee/Vehicle

Abbie Hayutin

USA Triathlon Level 1 Certified Coach

Abbie’s passion for triathlon started when the triathlon movement was just beginning. Over the years, she has grown with the sport, competing in countless races at all levels. Her philosophy is to “Inspire Through Example” as her approach to fitness has evolved over the years from a competitive outlet to an opportunity to promote a healthy lifestyle. Her own journey has helped her realize that everyone’s fitness abilities and goals are different and can change drastically over the course of a lifetime.
