Crystal has been at Club Greenwood since 2006 and currently teaches lessons, water fitness and is and USA Certified Coach. Crystal is certified in the SwimAmerica program and is best known for improving young and adult people’s stroke’s and making them feel comfortable in the water. Crystal competed locally in Age group club swimming, College swimming at Iowa State University and still loves to compete with Masters swimming at Club Greenwood. Swimming is clearly a family affair as husband, Bob, and all three of her sons also swim!

Genevieve McNally Greenwood Tiger Sharks Head Coach
Genevieve is a long-time swimming and sports enthusiast. She has been the Head Coach of the Greenwood Tiger Sharks for the past two years, has been with the team for three years and part of the club for over 15 years. Genevieve swam for multiple club teams across the front range and swam at the University of Denver, alongside her four siblings. While at the University of Denver, she received her MBA with a concentration in Socio-Cultural Brand Management and has also earned her Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification. Genevieve has a unique background in youth athlete development, due to her time in sports marketing, assisting in representing professional athletes. She possesses an understanding of what it takes to be an athlete and the intricacies of the mental and physical capacity it takes to accomplish one’s goals. Genevieve has a passion for fluid communication and helping others achieve their goals. Her hobbies include traveling, hiking, paddle boarding and swimming.

Lane Bretschneider Greenwood Tiger Sharks Assistant Head Coach
Lane has been in swim coaching since 2017. He got his start with Foothills Swim Team as an Age Group coach and has worked with all ages and ability levels since. He received a scholarship to attend and swim for the University of Denver and was a three year member of the Division 1 team. Lane has taught and still currently teaches competitive swim lessons at SwimLabs in Littleton, using cameras and other technology to break down stroke technique and help swimmers improve. He spends his free time enjoying live music, playing and watching sports and exploring the outdoors.

Greg has coached masters swimming at Club Greenwood for the past 4 years. “It is a way to try and give back a small amount to the sport which has done so much for me”. Fifty years’ experience in competitive swimming, he is a South African national swimming team member and national Record Holder, a University of Alabama swim team captain and a NCAA Swimming Championship participant. Also to his credit, a US World Championship Trials Qualifier, a US Masters Swimming All American, and a National Champion and US Masters and FINA Masters World Record Holder. “The best part of coaching masters swimming at Club Greenwood is seeing the enthusiasm of older athletes as they reach their goals.”

Abbie Hayutin Swim Instructor and Triathlon Coach
Abbie’s passion for triathlon began when the triathlon movement was just beginning. Over the years, she has grown with the sport, competing in countless races at all levels. Her philosophy is to “inspire through example” as her approach to fitness has evolved over the years, from a competitive outlet to an opportunity to promote a healthy lifestyle. Her own journey has helped her realize that everyone’s fitness abilities and goals are different and can change drastically over the course of a lifetime. Abbie has been a swim instructor since 2011, teaching at Club Greenwood since 2015. She coaches private triathlon sessions and workshops, private and group swim lessons and holds the following certifications: USA Triathlon Level 1 Certified Coach, USA Swim Coach-Level 2, SwimAmerica, USA Adult Learn to Swim. She has volunteered for Special Olympics since 2009, empowering her to adapt to the unique needs of each athlete and inspiring a life-long passion for fitness to all age groups and abilities.

Bobby has been an employee at Club Greenwood since 2018. He currently teaches private swim lessons and SwimAmerica. He also lifeguards and swims on GTS year round swim team as well as Varsity on Cherry Creek Swim and Dive Team. Bobby has enjoyed using his technique with his own strokes and strong work ethic to help his swimmers to reach their own goals in swimming.

Bryndi has been with Club Greenwood since 2005 and teaches group and private swim lessons. Before working with the club, she was a pool manager and taught lifeguard training. Bryndi grew up in the hot summers of central Iowa and you would find her at the pool most days in her childhood! She loves working with the little ones – making the water a fun and safe place to be. When she’s not in the pool, she’s busy watching her son play basketball or traveling to the mountains in the winter to get some snowboard days in!

Cama Jo has been with Club Greenwood for 18 years. Specializing in perfecting all 4 competitive strokes, structured workouts, along with teaching the Adult learn to swim programs and stroke schools. She is certified Swim America, WSI American Red Cross and USA Coaches certified. Cama Jo believes swimming is an exercise gift that can last a lifetime.

Carie has been at Club Greenwood since 2013 but has taught and coached swimming for 24 years. Carie is certified in the Swim America program and teaches stroke school along with privates. She is best known for making swimming fun for any age and ability. One of Carie’s favorite family trips is to Glenwood Hot Springs pool every year; where she gets to swim with her husband and three kiddos in 90-degree water!

Danielle has been teaching Master’s swimming since 2019 at Greenwood, although she has been a lifelong swimmer and coach. She has been competitively swimming since the age of five and has experience competing at high level in the pool as well as in the open water. She brings passion and energy to the pool deck as well as expertise in distance and ultra- distance swimming. Swimming is just one of the many things she loves as you may find her in the yoga or Pilates studio as well!

Glenda has been teaching swimming for 25 plus years and has been at Club Greenwood since 2006 teaching SwimAmerica and private lessons. She is a very patient and encouraging instructor who loves helping children gain confidence in the water while watching the joy on their face as their skills and love for the water grow. Glenda is a graduate of the University of Kansas and Regis University and works as a registered nurse.

Jeanette has been at Club Greenwood for 20 years, teaching lessons and water fitness. She has worked with swim programs and teams in four different states and have learned a lot along the way! She strives to help students of all ages develop confidence in the water. Jeanette is thrilled to still be swimming with the Masters team and loves having her husband and five children enjoy swimming as well.

Jen is a certified Swim America Instructor and has been teaching Swim America, Stroke School and privates at Club Greenwood since 2008. She is a Head Coach of a summer league swim team and loves to teach every age to either just be comfortable in the water or to compete at a high level. Jen has been a Flight Attendant for American Airlines for 27 years which has allowed her a flexible schedule to enjoy her passion for teaching and coaching swimming and be a mom to her 12-year-old son.

Johnnie has a diverse aquatics background including teaching swim lessons and lifeguarding. He has worked with cities, the Air Force Academy and private clubs since he was 15. He maintains certifications with Swim America as well as the Red Cross to include Water Safety Instructor and Lifeguard Instructor Trainer. Johnnie will be happy to work with you and your child to make water a second home.

Kelly has over 30 years of swim coaching experience. She has been a SwimAmerica certified instructor for Club Greenwood for eight years. Kelly has mastered the “art of swimming”. She loves to empower her swimmers with the technical skills that make swimming fun. Kelly competed locally in Age group club swimming, College swimming at the University of Kansas and still loves to compete with Masters swimming at Club Greenwood. She is excited to share her passion for swimming with all levels of swimmers.

Larry has been a member of Club Greenwood since 2001. He started coaching the CG Masters team in 2014 and currently coaches the two Monday workouts. Larry is a level two USMS certified coach and coaches a local high school swim team. Larry is also a 225 hour certified Yoga teacher. Larry stays motivated to coach by offering every swimmer a challenging, structured workout, which pushes each swimmer to a level typically they will not achieve on their own. When not on deck, Larry bikes during nice weather, hikes and travels often. Fitness is important to him and he desires to help others achieve their fitness goals.

Marlene has been teaching water fitness since becoming certified in April 1996. She has level I & II certifications Water Fitness through AAA-ISMA, as well as Pilates Mat I, II & III. Also certified through the State of Colorado Arthritis Foundation, BOSU balance trainer, Anything On The Ball, Mat Science I & II, and Ai Chi. She loves to be in or on the water no matter where she is, and loves to exercise and challenge herself with new things! Kayaking, Stand Up Paddle Boarding, snorkeling and swimming with whale sharks are on the top of her chart!

Mike grew up in Colorado and started swimming at age six. He went on to swim and play water polo at The University of New Mexico. He has continued to participate in masters swimming for the last 40 years, he is a multiple USMS master’s national champion and a Master All American in water polo. Mike currently holds eleven Masters world records and was World Master swimmer of the year in 2009 and 2010. Mike has been a Master Coach for the last 20 years in Colorado. He is the founder of SwimLabs Swim School.

Missy has been with Club Greenwood since 2018. She is a Northern Illinois University graduate with a BS in Exercise Science and holds aquatics certifications with Red Cross, Ellis, Starguard and Swim America. Missy wants to pass on her passion of swimming to people of all ages. The best part of Missy’s day is sharing the happiness of swimmers meeting their goals. Missy also has a wonderful husband and two amazing little boys that keep her on her toes at the pool and at home.

Paige has been coaching and giving swim lessons for over 10 years. She grew up in Florida and fell in love with swimming at a young age starting year round swimming at five. She went on to receive a scholarship with Wingate University in North Carolina where she was an All Conference and All American all four years in the 500,1000 and 1650 yard freestyle . Her certifications include: Lifeguard/ CPR/AED/First Aid /Water Safety Instructor Certified through American Red Cross, Swim Lesson University and ASCA Level 1 and is an ACSM certified Personal Trainer. Paige enjoys working with all ages and abilities.

Patty Lou has been one out of three employees that is still working at Cub Greenwood since it opened in 1987. She embraces the joy of teaching swimming to all levels especially the young. Patty Lou has taught swimmers and now teaches their children and is best known for quality instruction and knowledge of all levels. Her goal is to exceed all expectations and have the swimmer enjoy the water for a life time. On a personal note you can find her water walking and enjoying the water as well as volunteering at the Botanical Gardens.

Teresa has a degree in Audiology and Speech Pathology from Creighton University and really enjoyed helping her clients. She has always had a passion for fitness and wellness and has been teaching since 1988. Fitness certifications include: Group Fitness Instructor, and American Council on Exercise including group fitness instructor and health coach. Co-founder of Rocky Mountain Water Fitness and Wellness (1991-2011), a company that provided education in health, fitness and nutrition. Teresa thoroughly enjoys all her participants and praises them for attending all types of classes! Her favorite belief always is, “how we live one area of our life affects all areas. How we live each day is how we live our whole life.”

Will, Swim America certified, started as a lifeguard, taught swimming prior to working at Greenwood, nine years of instructing here at Club Greenwood. He mostly work on developmental swimming for kids and adults, working with those who have little experience. Will helps reach goals and hone their skills to move on to more advance programs like stroke school or swim team. He also like to teach a lot of water survival skills and safety techniques, it’s an important life skill to be water safe. Will use his experience in these arenas to help swimmers be confident in their abilities both in and out of the pool. In his free time he stays active at the gym or swimming laps. Will is an avid outdoorsman who enjoys camping, hiking, fishing and rafting.

Katie has been with Greenwood as a member on and off as a swim instructor and coach since 1988. As a kid growing up on the East Coast she spent every summer at swim team practice or meets and the rest of the day at the swimming pool. She loves watching kids overcome their fear of the water and then gaining a love of swimming. She is now mostly doing private lessons coupled with Stoke School and Swim Conditioning.

She has spent time in a few different departments including Marketing and Aquatics, but has spent the majority of her time at Club Greenwood as part of the Business Team. She graduated from Cherry Creek High school and went on to graduate from Colorado State University. When Erin is not at Club Greenwood she is spending time with her husband Adam and her two boys Bradlee and Carson.

Michelle Yost Personal Trainer / Triathlete Coach
Michelle loves helping people improve their overall health and fitness and athletes wanting to take their performance to the next level. As a triathlon coach of nine years, she has helped athletes achieve their goals and stay healthy. “Do something today that you will be proud of tomorrow…..consistency is the key!” Michelle grew up as a competitive swimmer and transitioned into triathlon 15 years ago. She has qualified for World Championships in all distances of triathlon including Xterra.
Michelle Yost has been coaching endurance athletes including swimmers, runners and cyclists for the past nine years and has been a triathlete for 15 years. She has competed in the Ironman World Championship in Kona three times and has qualified in World Championships in all other triathlon distances including Xterra. Michelle is always looking for different events to challenge herself like running the Grand Canyon Rim to Rimto Rim, swimming the Maui Channel and cycling in the French Alps. Michelle is passionate about helping people reach their goals whether its participating in a local sprint triathlon, running a marathon or qualifying for Kona.
