Alex is originally from Kent, England. He spent his junior years competing in several sports but was always drawn to tennis. Alex went on to play college tennis at the University of Liverpool where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Economics. It was in Liverpool that he first started teaching tennis and upon graduation, moved to the U.S. and hasn’t looked back since.
He learned his trade under Patrick Tauma (former coach of Naomi Osaka) at ISP Academy in Boca Raton, Florida. He then spent six years in the Washington DC area at the Chevy Chase Club working his way up from Assistant Professional to Interim Director of Racquet Operations. While in Washington, Alex also earned his Master’s in Sports Industry Management from Georgetown University. He competed at the Open Level obtaining a top 10 ranking in the mid-Atlantic and became a USPTA Elite Tennis Professional, USPTA Elite Platform Tennis Professional and a PPR Pickleball Professional.
