Club Greenwood offers a variety of Red Cross Lifeguard programs. Choose from Red Cross Lifeguard Training, or Lifeguard Recertification. American Red Cross lifeguarding courses are designed and taught by industry-leading professionals who will help you help others stay safe in, on, and around the water by teaching you the latest safety and rescue techniques.
Lifeguard Training
Prerequisite and Rules for Lifeguard Programs
Must be able to:
Swim 150-meters combined breaststroke and front crawl
Tread water for 2-minutes (one minute with hands one-minute without)
Swim 40-meters (20 meters with a 10-pound weight)
Program fees are non-refundable.
Lifeguard Training
Must be 15 years of age.
American Red Cross Lifeguard Training and Lifeguard Recertification. National certifications are valid for two years (includes CPR/First Aid). Students receive the latest science-based training from experienced instructors and develop skills they will use for a lifetime.
Lifeguard Training Class equips participants with essential skills to prevent and respond to aquatic emergencies. The curriculum covers water safety, rescue techniques, first aid, CPR, and the use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED). Class will include both classroom instruction and practical exercises in the water, ensuring trainees can effectively handle various situations and ensure the safety of swimmers. Successful completion and passing the skills, will enable the student to obtain a certification that will be valid for 2 years. Participant must be 15 yrs old. Participant must be able to pass all pre-requisites conducted the first night of class. There is a 6-hour online portion that the instructor, Jan will send out before class, that will need to be completed prior to training.

Lifeguard Recertification
Lifeguard Certification must be current or no more than 30 days expired to do the Lifeguard Recertification (includes CPR/First Aid). A six-hour online portion must be completed before the first day of class. The link will be emailed upon registration.
