Embody Tradition + Wisdom

A Yearlong Journey into Embodied Living
More than a training—this is a path to truly living yoga. Our 200-Hour Ayurvedic Yoga Teacher Training weaves together the ancient wisdom of Ayurveda and the transformative practices of yoga in a yearlong immersion. Rooted in nature’s rhythms and the intelligence of the body, this journey offers more than the skills to teach—it invites you to embody yoga as a way of life. Designed to align with the seasons, it nurtures deep personal transformation, balance, and sustainable growth—on and off the mat.

Your Training Experience:

Yoga Through the Lens of Ayurveda: You’ll explore the full spectrum of yogic practices—asana, pranayama, meditation, mantra, lifestyle, philosophy—through the timeless principles of Ayurveda. Learn how to practice and teach yoga that is responsive to the seasons, the doshas and the subtle energies of daily life.

Personal Practice as a Living Laboratory

This yearlong container offers the space and support to deepen your own practice with intention and care. You’ll learn how to cultivate a daily rhythm (dinacharya), create seasonal routines (ritucharya) and align your practice with your body’s changing needs—building a lifelong foundation of inner balance, vitality and presence.

Alignment, Anatomy and Functional Movement

You will learn:

Anatomy

Proper alignment in yoga poses

How to cue poses

Functional movement and how it is applied

How to modify poses for individuals based on the students’ needs

Teaching from Wisdom and Experience

Rather than memorizing sequences, you’ll learn how to teach yoga rooted in your own embodied experience. You’ll explore how to work with different constitutions (prakriti), imbalances (vikriti) and life stages, guiding students with insight, empathy and awareness.

Conscious Breath and Energetics: Learn pranayama techniques tailored to individual and seasonal needs. Understand how breath affects the nervous system, pranic flow and mental clarity, and how to use it skillfully for balance, healing and transformation.

Meditation and Inner Awareness: Explore meditation through the Ayurvedic lens of the gunas—sattva, rajas and tamas—to cultivate a clear, steady mind. You’ll learn tools for emotional resilience, insight and stillness, helping you navigate modern life with grounded presence.

Ayurvedic Living: You’ll gain a solid foundation in Ayurvedic philosophy and practical tools for:

  • Understanding your dosha and the doshic imbalances of students

  • Supporting digestion, sleep, energy and immunity

  • Creating seasonal rituals and self-care routines

The Business of Yoga: Discover your own voice and teaching style. Put together a business plan. Understand who you want to teach yoga to, how to market to that population, where to teach and where to do continuing education for this group

Weekend Mountain Retreat- (Date decided by the group): Take a weekend for your self-growth and discovery. Integrate and practice the wisdom of yoga in an immersive format. Learn and experience ayurvedic cooking. Connect with nature. Take time out for yourself

Why a Yearlong Journey?

True integration takes time. In Ayurveda, healing and transformation occur through rhythm, consistency and alignment with nature. This 12-month format honors that truth, allowing you to absorb, embody and apply what you learn—not just intellectually, but in your cells and in your life.

By moving through all seasons internally and externally, you’ll:

Deepen your relationship with yoga as a daily, living practice

Build an intuitive understanding of Ayurvedic principles through experience

Develop your voice and confidence as a teacher in an authentic and sustainable way

Connect with a supportive community traveling the same path of growth

By the End of This Training, You Will:
Have a steady, personalized yoga and self-care practice aligned with your constitution and lifestyle. Be able to teach yoga from an Ayurvedic perspective, with sensitivity to individual and seasonal needs. Feel more grounded, energized and emotionally balanced in your own life. Understand how to live in rhythm with nature and your own inner wisdom. Be prepared to share yoga not as a performance—but as a medicine, a lifestyle and a path of connection

Testimonials

Katie

Greenwood YTT was an incredible place to complete my teacher training. The instructors made the experience so special and personalized to the individual. I would absolutely recommend this school to anyone looking to complete their certification in Denver."

Holli

The teaching staff at Club Greenwood is fantastic. They are all highly experienced with vastly different backgrounds, making each one a unique contributing member to the entire learning experience. Not only were they professionally knowledgeable, but they cared about the process and how each one of us learned in a unique way. They were encouraging when we struggled and pushed us when we resisted. There is no way I would have finished with such a positive attitude without their nurturing enthusiasm. The entire program was top notch and I highly recommend!”

Jane

What a challenge YTT was for someone my age, but the education was invaluable. It took my personal practice to a deeper level while giving me a greater appreciation for my teachers. I highly recommend YTT if only to widen your knowledge and meet some wonderful people."

It’s ok, and yes! Many yogis who enroll in a 200-Hour Training Program do it to enrich their practice which has a wonderful trickle effect on one’s personal life. Begin your transformative journey with us in September.
