Lolita’s Legacy™ Pilates Teacher Training Program is a fully comprehensive 500-hour program that is internationally recognized and meets the requirements of professional standards as defined by the Pilates Method Alliance for Pilates Teacher Training.

The Lolita’s Legacy™ Teacher Training Program is a comprehensive curriculum that covers the full mat repertoire and all Pilates equipment: both apparatus and auxiliary in its entirety. You will learn the historical and contemporary exercises on Mat, Reformer, Cadillac/Trapeze, Chair, Barrels, Ped-o-Pull and auxiliary equipment: magic circles, foot Corrector, toe stretcher, etc. The training also includes the anatomy of movement, the history of the method, the philosophy of Joseph Pilates and teaching protocols of the method to make you more independent and insightful as possible in the method of Pilates.

Lolita’s Legacy™ is the only teacher-training program on the market today that was created by one of the two people Joseph Pilates certified in his method, Lolita San Miguel.

Explore Lolita’s Unique Program

Lolita is a Pilates elder who is the only person still living, certified by Joseph Pilates. She received her first certification from Carola Trier, Joseph Pilates’s first disciple to open her own studio, then trained and apprenticed with Joseph and Clara Pilates. She was awarded degrees by the State University of New York, which sponsored her training. She has also been certified by Polestar Pilates Education. Lolita has become one of only four “Distinguished Elders” of the Pilates Method Alliance (PMA), was awarded a PMA Gold Certificate and recently inducted into their Hall of Fame.

Creating Superior Teachers

Lolita’s Legacy™ training program has the primary goal of ensuring a superior teacher training program that goes beyond simple criteria requirements of multiple training schools today. Lolita doesn’t wish to train as many teachers as possible but to only train outstanding teachers. Therefore, her challenge was to create a unique training program that educates Pilates teachers who will acquire a high level of practical knowledge with a flawless understanding of the origin of the Pilates method and its future challenges.

Contemporary Approach

Lolita’s Legacy™ combines the original genius of the method with the most up to date research on spinal health and development. Lolita feels it is important to preserve where we came from but evolve to what society needs. We should never stop learning! Learn what exercises are contraindicated for some injuries and how to give clients variety within their limitations.

Internationally Recognized Career

Lolita San Miguel has always wanted to carry on Joe’s wish that everyone should be doing his Method. She developed the Lolita’s Legacy™ program with the goal of it being accessible to everyone. As of today Lolita’s Legacy™ Teacher Training Program is offered in seven different languages: English, Spanish, French, Portuguese, Turkish, Russian and Japanese and is being taught in 12 different countries. Upon graduating from Lolita’s Legacy™ you will be able to work anywhere in the world!

Students must complete each module in sequential order to ensure proper understanding of the method and its system. After completing the four modules, assessments and practice hours, and only after receiving the passing score in the comprehensive final exam, will you receive a Full Certificate of Education of Lolita’s Legacy™ signed by Lolita San Miguel and your educator. For further credits, know that this certification is also recognized by the official association Pilates Method Alliance.

Refund Policy

Students not accepted to the school are entitled to all moneys paid. Students who cancel by notifying the Club in writing within three (3) business days of registration for the system/module are entitled to a full refund of all tuition and fees paid. Students, who withdraw after three (3) business days of registration, but before commencement of the system/module, are entitled to a full refund of all tuition and fees paid, except the $500 non-refundable materials fee.

Once the commencement of classes for the system/module begins, no refunds will be given.
