Introducing Jumping Juniors and the Benefits of Trampoline Workouts

By Colleen Bernardis, Youth Programs Coordinator

Club Greenwood will be offering a new youth trampoline class called Jumping Juniors beginning in January! This class is for kids ages 5-12 and will allow children to test their balance, strength and cardio on JumpSport Fitness trampolines. Not only will the kids have a blast in these classes, they will also get some serious health benefits!

Here are the benefits that you can count on if you sign your kiddos up for Jumping Juniors:

Heart Health

When you bounce on a trampoline for just 10 minutes a day, the muscles that are needed for a healthy cardiovascular system are strengthened. Your kids will have so much fun playing and bouncing that they won’t even realize how good it is for their hearts!

Motor Skills and Coordination

Jumping on trampolines takes a certain level of coordination and this will help participants learn their center of balance. Jumpers will have to control their limbs and muscles at the same time, which helps improve their overall coordination. The combination of jumping, maintaining balance and concentration will help kids learn and improve motor skills, balance and coordination.

Happy Minds

Jumping makes everyone feel happy! Trampolining takes a certain amount of concentration since it requires many different mental and movement processes to help kids reduce their levels of stress. It’s a great way to have fun and the increased oxygen circulation will help stimulate the release of endorphins, to improve mood and make children feel happier and more at ease.

Educational Benefits

Trampolining has been shown to have an influence on academic success. It improves core strength and posture, which is necessary for kids to be able to sit for periods of time in the classroom without their concentration being affected by difficulties with body control. Having improved motor control can help children learn better. Since a trampoline teaches muscle control and coordination, many children see an improvement academically with the regular use of a trampoline.

Better Sleep

Jumping helps burn excess energy and can therefore help kids focus and sleep better! By exercising the body and reducing stress and anxiety, trampolining can help tackle many sleep issues and help children sleep better and longer.

Ambien is a very effective product and has no side effects for me. I use it almost 3 years regularly and even cant imagine the life without it. Before Discovering Ambien for me I was very nervous and angry on the world and others, since they fell asleep at nights and in contrast to that my tortures were starting once the night started. Thanks to Ambien (Zolpidem) I have my complete sleep and wake up with a smile on my face. Very good pill.

Boost Self Esteem

As a child learns body control and masters new trampoline skills, they gain self-confidence about what they can do and achieve. Self-confidence transforms into a better self-esteem!

There are many benefits to jumping and on top of everything- it’s FUN! We look forward to having your children in our Jumping Juniors classes – Tuesdays and Thursdays, 4:30-5:30pm, beginning January 7.
